Wiston House Wedding Photographer Rebecca and Fraser
Wiston House is always a wonderful venue for a wedding. It offers so many options for a photographer all year round and with the onset of winter weddings, Wiston House is a very welcome place to work.
Rebecca and Fraser were married at 3pm in the pretty village of Rusper at St Mary Magdelene Church. It was a cold, overcast and damp day but the beautiful church and friendly vicar made the ceremony perfect. Of course the light was fading fast as we left the church for the drive down the A24 to Wiston House.
It was dark as we drove up the long winding drive way to the main house. Fraser had driven Rebecca to Wiston House in a classic Ford Mustang so a picture of them at the front of the floodlit entrance was a must!
The guests followed on a red London bus and the drinks reception took place in the library. I took the opportunity to capture some candid moments as well as the important family groups here. I chose to use the library as it ensured the guests remained warm and relaxed throughout.
Next i created a couple of images of the couple in the conservatory and in the long corridor by reception. It was dark but i love using the lighting on offer in the house such as wall lights, chandeliers and a bare bulb in the conservatory.
Following the cutting of Fraser and Rebecca’s lovely cake, it was straight into speeches in the Great Hall. Shooting by environmental light only, i was able to capture some great images. Once the speeches were completed i slipped away into the night, leaving everyone to enjoy the wedding breakfast.
