Wiston House Wedding Photographer  Gemma and Vassos

Wiston House is a magical venue. Over the years i have covered in excess of 50 weddings at Wiston House and have built a close working relationship with its wonderful staff.

My vast experience of working at Wiston House means that regardless of the time of year, the weather or the type of wedding, I am able to provide an exceptional service for my clients and produce some very special images from their wedding day.

Gemma and Vassos were married 10 days before Christmas. Unfortunately, like so many weddings last year, the day was dreadfully wet. However despite the awful weather outside, the beauty of Wiston House is, that no matter what, there are all sorts of options and this didn’t dampen the spirits. Please excuse the pun. Of course working inside, in the middle of winter, isn’t a challenge for the inexperienced wedding photographer!

On arrival at Wiston House, i went up to see Gemma and her bridesmaids to capture the preparations before popping downstairs to catch up with Vassos and the guys and cover the guests arriving.

The ceremony took place in the Ball Room and Gemma followed a piper down the aisle. After the ceremony they were piped out again, followed by their guests to the library, to enjoy the drinks reception. I took this opportunity to capture some of the many candid moments before slipping away to the Great Hall to photograph all the details that had been planned for the wedding breakfast.

During the drinks, i took Gemma and Vassos away for ten minutes to create some special, relaxed shots of them together, before returning to photograph the requested groups back in the library.

The wedding breakfast took place in Wiston House’s magnificent Great Hall. Is there a more dramatic room for a wedding? Speeches followed before throwing of the bouquet and first dance, Then a fabulous Cadleigh band entertained the guests who all seemed very keen to join in the fun.

Below are a few favourite moments from a fabulous wedding.
