Portrait Photographer Family Photography in Sussex

As a portrait photographer i am always keen to catch up with past wedding clients, meet their new arrivals and become their family photographer. I always think of past wedding couples as clients for life and fortunately many feel the same way when they look for a portrait photographer.My job as a portrait photographer is to produce stunning, timeless and emotive images at each special time in a family’s lives. I love to show the love and closeness in family bonds, especially between a little one and his/her parents, without being cheesy or too intrusive.

I covered Neil and Jacqui’s wedding back in 2007 at Chilston Park in Kent. I remember them having a fabulous day and i loved creating a beautiful album of their wedding.

Neil booked one of my family portrait sessions as a present for Jacqui and they came down from South London a couple of weeks ago with their 11 month old son, Conor.

Conor was an amazing little boy to photograph. The relaxed shoot took over two hours and he remained chilled and happy throughout.  Most of the images were taken here using natural light from the beautiful bay window i have in my client room, although we did brave the cold and venture to the play park for 5 minutes before they left for home.

The essence of what i am trying to achieve as a portrait photographer in my images is emotion and a timeless, natural look that my clients will treasure forever. Gimmicks, the latest Photoshop fads that are seen on so many photographer’s websites etc are avoided at all costs! As an artist, i prefer to use great light to produce the pictures that clients will never tire of looking at. Of course, black and white is my passion and where my name as a leading portrait photographer has been made, but colour is also used where it is right for the image.

I produce a wide collection of images to allow people to choose one of our portrait books or some amazing wall art. A collection of art blocks on one wall always looks stunning for example.
