Southend Barns Weddings Amanda and Dean
Southend Barns is a stunning new wedding venue. This was my first time there and despite it being early March it made for a wonderful reception for Amanda and Dean’s wedding.
Having known Amanda for many years it was a huge privilege and pleasure to be asked to photograph her marriage to Dean. They make a fabulous couple and along with many other mutual friends, we were very excited for them. My youngest daughter, Ruby accompanied me as a wedding guest and she had a lovely time.
Amanda got ready at her parent’s lovely home and then set off to St George’s Church, Eastergate which was just a few hundred yards down the road. After a lovely ceremony everyone set off to the reception.
After the very wet winter, we were blessed with a dry day and even some sunshine at times!
The thing that was lovely about the venue was the amount of space available. The wedding breakfast took place in the main barn and it looked amazing. Becky of B0-K Flowers, Goring used her amazing talents to give the barn the wow factor and as ever Jo of Elegant Stationery’s finishing touches really made a huge difference. both of their work is simply the best.
Following the speeches we enjoyed marshmallows over the fire pit before returning for the first dance in the main barn. Ian surprised Amanda and Dean with his confetti canons which made for a spectacular end to the first dance.
