Buxted Park Hotel in East Sussex is always a great venue for a wedding!

It has lovely grounds overlooking the Sussex countryside as well as a beautiful house for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. In short it is a wonderful place to hold any event!

Leigh and Alan had booked me quite a long time prior to their wedding day and it was great to have met them in advance to discuss their plans and ideas.

The day itself dawned to wonderful summer weather, It was one of the hottest days of the year. Leigh and Alan wanted a very relaxed and low key approach to their wedding photography and of course that suited my style perfectly.

Their wedding day had a distinctly New York theme and Green Apples abounded in the Ball Room where their wedding breakfast took place.

After the ceremony there was a rendition of “New York, New York” via a Karaoke type display for all of the guests to join in en mass before the formalities of the signing of the register in the Coat of Arms Room. Drinks followed on the terrace at the rear of the building and i took the opportunity to photograph the requested group shots before creating a few timeless images of Leigh and Alan together in the grounds.

It was lovely to work alongside my good friend, videographer Barry Weare of BW Video Films. I have known Baz for years and he is always easy to work with and, of course, produces top quality wedding films every time. My other good friend, Ian Forest of Disco Fever was present for the Karaoke and evening entertainment.

Here are a few of my favourite images of the day. All were taken on my Nikon D3s using my 24-70 2.8, 180 2.8 and 10.5 2.8 Nikon lenses.
