Oriel College Wedding Photographer Katherine and Richard
Katherine and Richard had planned an Oriel College Wedding. They met at Oriel College, Oxford University and so it was the logical place to be married.
I drove up to the picture postcard village of Woodstock to photograph Katy’s preparations at Hope House, a boutique hotel just down the road from the main gates to Blenheim Palace. After capturing some great images it was then off into Oxford to find Oriel College. We were able to park in Oriel Street with the help of the Porter’s Lodge team, which made life so much easier.
Their Oriel College Wedding ceremony took place in the stunning Chapel. I love the chapels at both Oxford and Cambridge Universities; so full of drama and style. The service was followed by drinks and family photos in the Quad. Luckily the rain that had fallen during the wedding ceremony abated during the drinks reception.
After an hour or so we all walked through the magical streets to the Ashmolean Museum where the wedding breakfast and the evening dancing was to take place. This offered great opportunities to create some special images of Katy and Richard and some of the guests as we snaked our way through the city centre, passing some beautiful architecture and of course thousands of tourirsts!
At the Ashmolean Museum, we had a few minutes for some more photos upstairs in some of the galleries before dinner was called. The setting was amazing!
After a few entertaining speeches, the dancing commenced downstairs and i left into the night to walk back to Oriel College to collect my car.
