Battle Abbey School Wedding Photographer Donna and Martin
I first met Donna and Martin at the Battle Abbey School Wedding Fair a year before their big day. They loved my work and we got on very well from the off so i was really looking forward to being their wedding photographer.
Battle Abbey School is a very special wedding venue. As i hadn’t worked there for quite a while i was very excited about shooting at this wonderful location again.
I started with the bridal preparations in Hastings where i captured the excitement as the girls got ready before driving back to Battle to photograph the guys and some of the arrivals.
The ceremony room is very dramatic as you can see from the photographs in the slideshow below and the ambient light available allowed for some beautiful imagery to be created discreetly during the service.
After the main event, we moved to the terrace for drinks and despite a cold wind everyone seemed to be enjoying the proceedings.
I took Donna and Martin off for a few minutes for some relaxed pictures together before photographing the requested family groups outside the main entrance to the school.
Then everyone moved inside to warm up, enjoy some more drinks before the receiving line and the calling of the wedding breakfast in the library.
Following the wedding breakfast, i covered the speeches and cake cutting before i slipped away with the couple for a few more photos around the stunning ruined Abbey behind the school itself.
I left after the first dance which was back in the main great hall, allowing the party to continue into the night.
