East Sussex Portrait Photographer Daisy

These days I’m finding my clients are wanting portraits that are different form the high key, bland work that so many photographers and studios are offering. What once was “new” is now becoming old and tired.

My work is based on the use of exceptional lighting, a relaxed approach and processing that is far removed form the proliferation of “Instagram” style presets and filters that seem to abound. In short i am producing TIMELESS and GIMICK FREE Wall Art that my clients can enjoy for decades rather than seeing the style date in two years or so.

Daisy came to me wanting some edgy, almost old school monochromatic images of herself but without any fuss or the pressure of booking a session in a high street studio. She appreciates fine art photography and the correct use of lighting to produce the images she had in her mind.

This was my brief and i created a vision for her in my studio here.

Shooting using just my favourite two lenses for portraits; my Nikon 50mm 1.4D and Nikon 85mm 1.8 AFS prime lenses, I set about capturing her personality and look. I shot exclusively using natural light from my studio’s bay window and then outside using my favourite background of the moment for a different look.

It was a hot and humid late afternoon last week so i ensured i kept things moving so that Daisy wasn’t messed around. All in all i created about twenty images and the slideshow shows four of my favourites from the portrait session.

I am about to launch a special portrait promotion for anyone after relaxed, environmental, fine art portraits throughout August. So if you are interested in taking advantage of the summer weather, while it lasts, please do not hesitate to give me a call on 01323 486837 ASAP. It’s wedding season so there are only very limited of slots available.
