Selina and Christopher booked me last year to cover their wedding day. We gelled straight away and after talking over their initial ideas, i was really excited about covering their big day.

It was an early start as i drove to Maidstone, Kent via Cranbrook. I checked out the location of the hotel, where Selina and the bridesmaids were getting ready. I then drove up to Boughton Monchelsea, just south of Maidstone to find St Peter’s Church and Chris’ parent’s house. Once at the house, i photographed the amazing vintage Bentleys that were outside on the lawn waiting to be put to good use.

Then i drove back down to Cranbrook and to the George Hotel for the bridal preparations. The hotel was olde worlde and quite dark but full of atmosphere.

After an hour it was back in the car and off to the church. The vicar was lovely and made life so easy for me.

Selina arrived in one of the two stunning Bentleys and led the bridal party into the church.

Following the ceremony and confetti it was a mad rush for the couple to get down to Eridge Station, just below High Rocks for catch the steam train. We had to drive across country to ensure we made it to the hotel to meet them with the guests on the platform at the hotel.

Drinks, family photos and then the bride and groom pictures all took place opposite the hotel under the huge rocks. What a dramatic backdrop!

Selina and Chris love woodland and therefore this was the theme to the wedding. The rocks made for a terrific location for their images, but i was surprised when Selina climbed up the rocks and wanted images from the top. It was well worth the effort though.

The wedding breakfast and speeches followed before the dancing commenced.

This was only my second time at High Rocks and first summer wedding there. I have to say the venue is superb and the staff very welcoming and attentive.

Here are few images from the day.
