Wadhurst Castle Wedding Photographer Michaela and Daniel
Another wedding i had really been looking forward to.
Having met Michaela a couple of times i knew that the day would be a good one. I love Salehurst Church in East Sussex and, of course, Wadhurst Castle is a favourite venue of mine.
I started with the bridal preparations at a lovely cottage near Robertsbridge, just a few minutes from the church. This made for a relaxed atmosphere for Michaela and the girls to get ready. After a few family and bridesmaids shots, i drove to Salehurst Church to meet Dan and the guys.
After a lovely ceremony, confetti and groups shots of the immediate family followed before the drive up to Wadhurst Castle.
It was a fabulous early autumn’s day and this allowed me to complete the group shots on the lawn whilst the guests all enjoyed their drinks in the afternoon sun. I took Michaela and Dan off for a few minutes to create some relaxed images of them together before the wedding breakfast was called.
This took place in a fabulous marquee on the lawn overlooking the Weald.
The speeches followed the meal before the cutting of the cake.
This time of year makes for so many more photographic opportunities as the light and colour temperature changes all the time. I took a couple of images of the setting as the sun set before everyone moved in to the Castle for the evening’s entertainment.
I slipped away after the first dance for the relatively short drive home.
Here are a few highlights of the day for you to enjoy.
