Cavendish Hotel Wedding Photographer
Joanne and John’s Wedding at the Cavendish Hotel, Eastbourne, East Sussex. I had been really looking forward to photographing the wedding of Jo and John, who were married by the sea in Sussex.
The ceremony and reception took place at the lovely Cavendish Hotel on Eastbourne’s beautiful seafront. I hadn’t covered a wedding at the Cavendish for a number of years but had heard great things about the hotel after an extensive refit a few years ago and i wasn’t disappointed. The hotel is simply stunning, with some amazing light and decor, with the main reception and lounge being quite spectacular. This is complimented by the library and the beautifully contemporary ceremony/reception room downstairs.
It was a cool but dry afternoon. The guests were able to enjoy their drinks in the modern lounge and library area while i went off with Jo and John with their chauffeur driven wedding car to the Wish Tower for some relaxed and informal images of them away from the crowd. This allowed them a few minutes to relax together, something i am sure they enjoyed and as they walked i captured a few images showing the seafront, and Eastbourne Pier behind them.
I love the main entrance to the hotel, with its towering pillars and red carpeted steps and this also offered an opportunity for some terrific images of the couple with the minimal of fuss.
The day seemed to go relatively smoothly and i would like to add my thanks to the wonderful staff as well as toastmaster, Michael Ramsden for assistance on the day.
Despite this being an afternoon only coverage, I am sharing a few more images than usual as it was such a fun day full of options and possibilities. All the pictures were captured on my trusty Nikon D3s using a variety of fast lenses throughout.
