Baby Photographer Sussex

It is always wonderful and a privilege to be invited to photograph a new born child. To be asked to create the first ever “official” images of a baby as young as 7 days old is even more exciting!

Baby Photographer Sussex, Jessica Rose’s parents, Andrew and Grace are a lovely couple and people i consider to be friends so adding this personal element to the session made it all the more special. I drove to their home at the Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne and was pleased to see a sleeping little girl. Jessica is a gorgeous little girl and was very peaceful for the majority of the shoot, which always makes it easier to create some special images.

Of course, i ensured i took some lovely images of the new family but wanted to produce some signature images using natural and dynamic light using just their home. Creating such pictures without a formal studio and a proliferation of props and quirky hats is always a challenge and one that i love to take on.

I lit and composed this series of images with a preconceived idea in my head of how i want the finished shots to look and then processed the files in Photoshop using my own personally developed warm black and white action, adjusted to suit the mood. As ever, i captures all the pictures on my Nikon D3s and used my 24-70mm 2.8 lens with artificial lighting.
