As a wedding photographer i enjoy working in beautiful settings such as the pretty village of East Dean, nestled in the South Downs between Eastbourne and Seaford in East Sussex. Its a gorgeous location.
Katie and Kevin were married at the old church of St Simon and St Jude in the village and this was followed by a wonderful reception at the Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne.
I started photography at Katie’s parent’s home in Hailsham and managed to capture some magical moments during the bridal preparations as the excitement mounted. Then it was a drive to East Dean to meet up with the guys.
Following the service i met up with the couple and their wedding car on the Downs, overlooking Eastbourne where, despite the very strong winds i managed to capture a nice informal shot of them enjoying the stunning view across to the English Channel and the seafront.
Once outside the Cavendish Hotel i took images showing Eastbourne Pier and and the grand facade of the hotel before going inside to join the drinks reception.
The hotel looked amazing once again and lent itself perfectly to hosting the wedding. As the guests were ushered down to the wedding breakfast, i took the opportunity to create a few special images of Katie and Kevin in the library before we re-joined the party.
The rest of the day and evening were perfect and i left knowing i had some terrific images in the bag.
Thank you to all the team at the Cavendish Hotel for making everything as painless and easy as possible. This was my second Cavendish Hotel wedding in 4 weeks, after not working there for a long time and I hope to be back soon.
