Grand Hotel Eastbourne The Mirabelle Wedding Experience Maddie and Graeme’s Wedding

Grand Hotel Wedding Photographer

Maddie and Graeme’s wedding was a lovely relaxed day. The ceremony was held at Eastbourne Town Hall, a grand building with lovely architecture. They were married in the Court Room downstairs and despite a career of over 700 weddings this was only the second time i had covered a wedding in this room. Generally i find myself in the smaller and equally elegant room upstairs.

Following the ceremony i captured some images of the couple together on the magnificent staircase, utilising the window light that abounds there. The stained glass and paintings make for a regal setting for a few images.

After groups at the entrance, we all set off to Maddie’s Grandmother’s house, for a marquee reception in the garden.

The reception was very laid back and relaxed with canapes and drinks being served as friends and family mingled and caught up. A magician kept the guests enthralled and entertained throughout.

As the afternoon drew on, Maddie and Graeme were driven to the simply wonderful Grand Hotel on Eastbourne seafront. Its stunning white facade looks out to sea and is always a great sight to behold.

After spending a little time with the couple, creating some images inside the hotel, we joined their guests in the Dukes Room for pre dinner drinks. Maddie and Graeme had chosen to have their wedding breakfast in the award winning Mirabelle Restaurant . The Mirabelle is, in my very humble opinion, one of the best fine dining restaurants in the country. Its elegance, ambience, staff and not to mention food are all top notch and i was lucky enough to be included on the guest list.

Speeches were held throughout the meal and were very heart felt as well as entertaining.

My coverage was complete at the end of an amazing dinner, and i slipped away, leaving the family to continue their celebrations in the cocktail bar.

Here are a few moments from the day, taken on my Nikon D3s and Fuji X-Pro 1 cameras.
