Fine Art Newborn Portrait Photography
Newborn Photography in Sussex.
Its always fantastic to be contacted by past wedding clients to meet and photograph their young family. In fact i prefer to refer to all of the couples whose weddings i have photographed as “clients” and not “past clients”.
Laura and Carl were married in 2006 and i was over the moon to be asked to create some beautiful images of their newborn daughter, Darcy who was just 6 days old when i met her. I drove to their West Sussex home and after a catch up got down to the job in hand. Darcy was very relaxed and fast asleep and everything was perfect for me to be able to produce some gorgeous images of a precious little girl.
Using just window light, i created a series of “real” and natural timeless images in my usual signature style. I love the innocence of a sleeping newborn baby which when combined with a beautiful quality of light, enables me to to create stunning black and white images for my clients to enjoy.
After a while, Darcy’s 2 1/2 year old sister came home with her grandmother and i was able to take a few images of this pretty little lady and finished the session with a few lovely images of the family together.
Over my career, i have produced a large collection of fine art and natural portraits of babies and young children and will be launching a brand new website to showcase my work very soon.
I hope you enjoy this selection from the session. All are shot on my Nikon D3s and 24-70 2.8 lens and processed using my own warm tone action in Photoshop.
