Sussex Wedding Photographer Nikki and Charlie
Sussex Wedding Photographer
Super Event always put on terrific weddings! I love working with them, especially when there is a marquee set up at a family home. It makes for a special atmosphere. As a Sussex wedding photographer i am spoilt for choice with the wonderful countryside and old churches on offer.
Nikki and Charlie live in Dorset but came “home” for their wedding, which was held in East Sussex at Nikki’s lovely family home.
The ceremony took place at St George’s Church in Brede, a stunning historic church in a pretty Sussex village. I hadn’t covered a wedding there for about 8 years so it was lovely to check out the stunning interior.
The brief was to keep everything relaxed and to shoot in a documentary style whilst including some very important family shots at the church. This, of course, was music to my ears.
I hadn’t met Nikki or Charlie prior to their wedding day, except for a brief chat over Skype but was welcomed to the family home, where i was able to discreetly get down to work. Nikki dressed in the lounge, a huge room with open beams and magical light, which enabled me to “play” and create some great images.
On our return from the church ceremony, the setting was amazing and the marquee put together by Super Event was beautiful as ever. The quality of their service never disappoints and once again it was great to work with Wendy and the team.
The drink’s reception took place in the field opposite the house, outside the marquee and while the guests enjoyed the sunny afternoon, i created a few romantic images of the couple in the garden.
I was booked to cover up to the speeches which were held before the wedding breakfast. These were brief but entertaining and i left the guests to enjoy the evening.
Here are a few of my favourite moments from the day. All were shot on my Nikon D3s.
