Salomons Wedding Photographer
Florence and Nic’s Wedding at Salomons Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Salomons was the venue for one of the early career weddings. I love the place, but hadn’t actually shot there for about 8 or 9 years! Salomons is located between Royal Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge in Kent, tucked away in a lovely setting.
Florence and Nic were after artistic and creative but very informal wedding photographs. After discovering my website they got in touch. A brief conversation showed us to be on the same wave length and i was very excited when they booked straight away!
Everything took place at Salomons, cutting out any stress about logistics and travel on the day. Nic arrived in a blue classic MG sports car at the same time as i pulled into the estate. I took a quick look around to refresh my memory and then went up to Florence to capture the bridal preparations.
The ceremony took place in a very dramatic room and i had access from the balcony above as well as freedom to discreetly wander about and capture the whole ceremony as it unfolded. There was lots of music and “performances” from family and friends to really help personalise the proceedings.
Drinks followed in the grounds and i found time to create some special images of the couple both inside and out before the wedding breakfast.
After speeches and the cutting of the cake, there was a brief lull for everyone to enjoy the evening sunshine on the terrace. I took this opportunity to photograph Florence and Nic with the MG sports car. Then there followed the first dance before the guests were entertained by a fabulous Ceilidh Band to round off the evening. I love the atmosphere created by a Ceilidh Band and it always offers great action shots at the end of the day.
All the images were captured on my Nikon D3s.
