Phyllis Court Club Wedding Photographer Helen and Matthew
Helen and Matthew were married at Phyllis Court Club, Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire. The venue is set right on the River Thames and is a fabulous venue for a wedding!
The weather was perfect for an early autumn wedding. I started photography at Helen’s mum’s beautiful home in the picturesque village of Waltham St Lawrence which is just a few miles from Phyllis Court Club . After capturing some images in the stunning drawing room i braved the heavy traffic to Henley on Thames where i caught up with Matthew.
Following a short but intimate ceremony, the guests set off to the reception back at Waltham St Lawrence. I took the opportunity to create a few images of the couple together by the river. This gave them a moment or two to relax before rejoining their guests for the celebrations.
I loved the giant tipis that created the perfect back drop to the garden drinks reception. They were simply stunning!
Helen and Matthew arrived to a tunnel of confetti before joining their friends and family in the back garden of Mum’s house. They were entertained by a steel band, playing throughout the reception. I took a few minutes to quickly photograph the family groups on the patio, before we ventured into the tipis for speeches and the wedding breakfast.
Entertaining speeches set the tone for a relaxed meal under canvas. The cake cutting and bouquet throwing followed, before the first dance in the central tipi. Then the party really began!
A magnificent sunset over the roof tops brought the end to my coverage of a beautifully elegant wedding day.
I loved Phyllis Court Club. The setting was superb and the staff wen tout of their way to be friendly and helpful. I hope to return there in the not so distant future.
Here are a few moments from the day.
