I love covering small intimate weddings. Nicola and Andy’s day was very special, with just their parents present at the ceremony at Brighton Town Hall, in Bartholomew’s Square in the world famous Lanes.

After a few very wet days, we were fortunate to have a dry and bright day in the city. As a Brighton Wedding Photographer i had suggested that weather permitting, we took a short walk from the Town Hall through the Lanes for some photos around the Brighton Pavilion.

So following the ceremony, i created some images of the couple together inside the Town Hall to show off the architecture and staircase before taking a couple of groups outside in the square. Then we walked through the shoppers to the gardens around Brighton Pavilion for s few more creative images. Then, as the clouds were starting to close in we decided to quickly go back to the car park.

It was a good decision as the heavens opened as i drove out from the underground car park and set off to Tottington Manor where Andy and Nicola had booked lunched for their parents to enjoy. I had never been to Tottington before. Set in amongst  the hills between Henfield and Steyning it was a lovely setting.

At the restaurant, we were joined by Nicola’s brother. The sun came back out so we enjoyed a couple of drinks on the terrace as well as a few more photos in the grounds.

Just before they sat down for lunch with their family, I photographed Nicola and Andy by the fireplace and then left them to enjoy the start of what was going to be a lovely family weekend, with a break in the New Forest.
