Dog Photographer Leon the German Shepherd
My reputation as a bespoke Fine Art Dog Photographer has been formed from my very special black and white images of pedigree dogs. My services as a dog photographer are sort out my owners and breeders alike and has seen me photograph a diverse range of breeds.
I was commissioned by Leon the German Shepherd’s owner to create a few colour images of this stunning boy in his working environment. Although very much a pet, Leon is a farm dog too. The farm in question is primarily a working horse riding school and livery stables and he spends most of his day watching the comings and goings as well as enjoying the endless company of so many people who use the place.
The two images below were shot on my Nikon D3s using my 180 f2.8 lens wide open. I love the quality of the early morning light. As is so often the case, great light makes for dynamic images and the laying down image looks amazing as a 36″ Fine Art Block Mount on my client’s wall at her home.
Both images are from a day in the life shoot i undertook for the owner, who wanted the real Leon captured. I love these half and full day shoots and am always keen to take on more, so please feel free to enquire if this is something that might appeal. Most people end up with a book holding all the images of the day, a great way to record your loving family pet or best friend!
