As a Sussex based wedding photographer its always  a pleasure to cover a wedding at the stunning Ashdown Park Hotel. I am honoured and very fortunate to be a recommended photographer for Ashdown Park Hotel Weddings and just love working there. The fairy tale venue apart, the staff are always terrific to work alongside. 

Laura and Rob booked me a year prior to their wedding and we hit it off immediately. They came back a for a pre wedding shoot later on the year and i had really been looking forward to photographing their wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel. 

Time moved on fast and suddenly it was April and the day was upon us. At last, against all expectations, we had a dry, bright day which always makes for a great time for everyone. After the ceremony we ventured outside for drinks and pictures in the grounds. Laura and Rob wanted a very low key, relaxed coverage but with some special images of them together both inside and out the hotel. 

The vast park land, stunning lake and fountain always make for great images but my personal favourite images are those i create inside the chapel itself. The chapel is quite dark but the stained glass windows and architecture combined with being able to use the low, challenging but atmospheric light really offers a wedding photographer so many opportunities to create some extra special images in a short space of time.

Following the drinks reception, everyone was invited to enjoy the wedding breakfast in the chapel by my good friend and Toastmaster Stephen Hall. Stephen always ensures things go smoothly and without fuss and its always good to know he is working with me. I can’t recommend his services enough!

After the meal and speeches i was able to capture a couple of night images before the first dance. 

Laura and Rob’s wedding was a terrific day and i can’t wait to shoot at Ashdown again very soon!
