Being based near beautiful Eastbourne, East Sussex is a real bonus for my Lifestyle Family Photography. Blessed with stunning parks and woodland and being flanked by the South Downs and the sea offers all sorts of possibilities for stunning portraits of my clients.

Mark and Yvonne are long standing close friends and wanted very relaxed family pictures featuring the them by the sea, I chose Birling Gap under the Seven Sisters cliffs as the location.
It was a bright but very blustery afternoon; quite cold to be honest but this just seemed to add to the atmosphere that i was trying to create for them.
Using my Nikon D3s and 180 f2.8 lens i just gave basic directions and let the guys be themselves.
Lucy, the family dog was more than happy to oblige. She was very excited playing with the breaking waves and as you can see got very wet in the process!
This is something i love to include in my lifestyle family photography. It helps me to create a piece of real family history; moments in time that can’t be recreated as families grow and move on so quickly. Its this that makes my “job” so inspiring and important.
