Wedding Photographer Barcelona Castell de Sant Marsal Stephanie and Julian

I loved photographing the Welcome Party the night before. It had been a great way to kick off the weekend in Barcelona.

However as a Wedding Photographer Barcelona, Sunday was the big one! This was to be the climax of two weekends of celebrations.

After a relaxing morning, i got dressed in to my DJ (black tie was the dress code) and made my way up to Stephanie’s suite where the preparations were already underway. After a hazy start to the day, the sun had burst through and we were enjoying the hot weather we had hoped for.

At a lull, i went down to grab a few images of Julian and the guys getting ready before they left for the castle in the hills.

As usual things were running late but i still found 5 minutes to create a couple of images of the bride with the beautiful Barcelona below. Of course as a Wedding Photographer Barcelona it is always a good idea to show the views.

I travelled with Stephanie’s Mum and Sister in Law in a chauffeur driven car just ahead of the bridal party. On arrival we were met by Julian, his brother and the Rabbi for a private blessing before the ceremony commenced.

I walked Mum in and this was the first time i had actually seen the castle. The Castell de Sant Marsal is stunning! The ceremony was outside and was a Jewish blessing (the couple had been legally married in Eastbourne 8 days before). Despite is being about 7pm it was still very hot and bright but well worth the challenge!

Then during the drinks reception i took a few minutes to take a look around and quickly worked out the best options for the few formal images that had been requested.

The guests were led up to the castle for some spectacular dancing before dinner by a gypsy band.

The meal was outside under the trees and beautiful lighitng. The speeches were between each course. Following the meal the party and dancing commenced after midnight. I took my leave about 3am. It had been a long but very memorable day.
