Deans Place Wedding Photographer Mary and Paul
Deans Place Hotel in Alfriston, East Sussex is a very pretty venue that rests in the Cuckmere Valley in the South Downs.
Mary and Paul got in touch at relatively short notice, we hit it off straight away and they booked after viewing my extensive collection of sample albums. In particular they loved the natural feel to my images and they appreciated my story telling, lighting and composition skills that really give my pictures a dynamic edge. Their wedding photography was extremely important to them.
I started photography at Eastbourne Town Hall. It was one of the hottest days of the year!
They were married in the Mayor’s Parlour, a beautifully elegant room at the top of the stunning staircase. Then i walked along Grange Road with Mary and Paul to the equally lovely All Saints Church for a very special blessing of their marriage. This allowed me the opportunity to capture a couple of natural shots of the happy newly weds as they enjoyed a moment to themselves before the important service inside.
After the ceremony, they were met by a wall of confetti before driving off over the Downs to Deans Place Hotel a few miles away.
Deans Place Hotel is a special place for a wedding reception on such fantastic summer days. The lawns were a picture and perfect for the guests to relax and enjoy a drink while i created some images of the couple as well as a few relaxed family groups.
The wedding breakfast was held in the Alfriston Suite and i slipped away once the guests were called for dinner.
Here are a few favourite moments from the day.
