Located in the beautiful Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, just south of East Grinstead it always offers amazing photographic opportunities for a professional wedding photographer.
Issy and Matthew had booked me more than a year prior to their very special day. They really wanted the very best images to show off their wedding day.
I started with the bridal preparations at Ashdown Park Hotel where Issy and the bridesmaids were getting ready to go to church. The ceremony was at St Margarets Church, Buxted which is set within the grounds of Buxted Park Hotel, fifteen minutes down the road from APH.
Following the lovely ceremony we drove back to Ashdown Park for drinks and this allowed me to create some informal and artistic images of Issy and Matt. I also captured the drinks reception and their guests enjoying a fabulous summer’s afternoon on the lawns overlooking the magnificent lake to the rear of the hotel.
The most dramatic photo opportunities for an Ashdown Park Hotel Wedding Photographer are to found inside the main chapel. OK its dark in places but that all adds to the atmosphere of the images and is a major reason for couples to commission a quality professional wedding photographer. A friend with a camera is just not able to see never mind create images to do the setting justice.
I always get excited by the endless possibilities that are on offer and the difficulty is remembering its a wedding and not a photo shoot. I always ensure i don’t spend too long keeping a couple away from their guests!
The images in the slideshow are all captured on my Nikon D3s using natural light or my compact Metz video light.
