Wiston House Weddings Laura and James

Yet another sunny August day greeted the arrival of Laura as she was driven up the long winding drive way through the stunning Wilton Park Estate up to the magical Wiston House. Wiston House Weddings are always very special. They offer almost limitless photographic possibilities for a professional wedding photographer. After photographing in excess of 50 Wiston House weddings i still get that “hairs on the back of my neck” feeling every time i work there.

The civil ceremony took place in the Ballroom. It was extremely moving and emotional for everyone.

Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace and inside the magnificent house.

Laura, James and i then took a drive through the estate so that i could create some images of them with Wiston House behind them. The setting was idyllic.

Then we went into the chapel for some artistic pictures before returning back the guests to enjoy the afternoon. After a few family shots, everyone was called into the wedding breakfast.

The speeches were again very emotional, but also very funny as well. The Great Hall is a superb setting for a wedding celebration. Is there a more dramatic setting for a wedding breakfast?

At the end of the speeches we shot outside to capture some dramatic sun set images for Laura and James. The cake cutting in the library and first dance followed quickly.

Francis and the staff was again very helpful and easy to work with and i can’t wait to return.

The images in the slideshow are all captured on my Nikon D3s using natural light or my compact Metz video light.
