Newborn Photographer Eastbourne Evie-Mai

Fine Art Newborn photography is one of my passions. Its amazing to be the first to create professional fine art portraits of these tiny people that will be treasured forever by their parents and grandparents.

My style is to shoot low key monochrome images, using natural light where ever possible. This really allows me to produce something special for my clients. This kind of imagery really lends itself to becoming art hanging on a family’s walls.

Little Evie-Mai was just 9 days old when i went to meet her. Her parents, Gareth and Helen had asked me to come to their home and i was really excited to meet her. Gareth is a photographer so the pressure was really on!

I work quickly and without fuss and as well as portraits of the little girl, i wanted to create some images of the family together. I feel it is vital to include the parents in a portrait session as the images are little pieces of family history that i am sure Evie-Mai will love to look back on in 20 years time!

Being a newborn photographer is n’t easy, especially working the way i do. Its all about being able to see the light and use it to create these challenging images. Controlling natural light is the key and when used as a gentle spot light it really can help to create some very special images.

The slideshow shows a few images from the session. All were taken using window light only with post production using a few special actions i have created for my signature look.
