Bore Place Wedding Photographer Alison and Alan

Alison and Alan came across my work via the recommendation of another wedding photographer. Its always lovely to be recommended by your peers. They were after a relaxed, documentary approach to their wedding photography and my style suited them down to the ground.

The day brought us hot and bright sunshine: any couple’s dream for a summer wedding!

I drove up to Bore Place, near Chiddingstone in Kent, through the beautiful countryside and arrived early so that i could relax and take a good look around.  I hadn’t worked at Bore Place before but the  gardens were very pretty and perfect for an outside wedding.

The ceremony took place on the terrace over looking the pond. This was followed by a drinks reception and a few groups shots in the garden before the wedding breakfast in a marquee at the side the house. Just prior to the meal, there were some laid back speeches from the terrace.

Matt Wainwright the magician entertained the guests throughout with his wonderful act and a guitar player added to the ambience.

Following the lovely food, i created a few informal and relaxed images of Alison and Alan together, featuring the front of the house, study and of course the grounds at the back.

I then spent some time capturing the atmosphere of the evening with the guests chatting in the gardens whilst the children played badminton to the side of the marquee. After taking some “closure” shots, i slipped away for the drive home to Sussex.

Here are a few moments from a lovely day.
