The Berkeley Wedding Photographer Anna and Hussein
Anna and Hussein’s wedding at the Berkeley Hotel in Central London was one that i had been looking forward to covering for a while. I had been recommended to Anna by her good friend, Stephanie, whose wedding i had photographed in Barcelona a year ago. I love working on recommendation and this is the source of most of my work these days.
For the day, i was assisted by my friend Gareth. So it was a train journey to the capital before we took the Tube across to Knightsbridge. Upon our arrival at The Berkeley we took a quick look around to check out the rooms and options, Fortunately, the hotel is stunning so i knew we had a few great options for pictures.
We went up to meet Anna for the bridal preparations. Its always great to capture the last minute touches as well as the atmosphere and excitement before the ceremony. Then we popped downstairs to find Hussein and his best man before awaiting the bride’s entrance.
Following the ceremony, there was a drinks reception in the room next door. This offered up some great opportunities to capture their guests enjoying the day without them having to be aware of the photographer (me) being present.
I then went to an adjoining room with Anna and Hussein to create some beautiful images of them together before photographing the requested groups shots quickly and without fuss.
The wedding breakfast took place before the speeches back where the the couple were married.
Then the special first dance and cake cutting followed before the party really began.
