Brighton Wedding Photographer Claire and Glen

I had been looking forward to photography Claire and Glen’s wedding for quite a while, having known Claire for a few years.

The ceremony was to take place on Brighton Bandstand, so the weather was more important than at most weddings. Fortunately, we had a fabulous almost sub tropical day of beautiful and hot sunshine.

I parked at Churchill Square Shopping Centre, and walked through the Lanes to check out the Coach House, where the reception was due to take place later on. Then it was a 15 minute walk to the bandstand to wait for Glen and the guests to arrive.

Claire arrived with her Mum and bridesmaids in a wonderful vintage car, before making their way to the Bandstand. The ceremony was very relaxed over looking the English Channel.

I used the bandstand to capture the family group shots and some informal moments as the guests enjoyed ice creams.

Then it was a walk back alongside the seafront to the Lanes and the Coach House for the celebrations to really begin. The intimate setting allowed me plenty of opportunity to capture some great candid shots of the guests enjoying the day.

The guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the courtyard garden before moving inside for the wedding breakfast.

Speeches followed before i grabbed 5 minutes with Claire and Glen for a couple of shots of them together in the narrow and quaint alleyway beside the Coach House.

Once the evening guests started to arrive, the weather closed in. I left after the first dance and drove home to Polegate through a dramatic electrical storm and heavy rain.

The slideshow shows a few favourite images of the day.
