Ashdown Park Hotel Weddings

Sophie and Graham had booked me almost two years prior to their Ashdown Park Hotel Wedding. After their pre wedding shoot, i had really been looking forward to their special day, as they had been a easy and a lot of fun to work with.

I started off at their home to photograph the boys getting ready before shooting down to Sophie’s parent’s house in Uckfield. Here i captured the bridal preparations, which is always a favourite part of the day for me.

It was a short drive to Little Horsted and the church. On arrival i photographed Graham and his best man as well as some of the arrivals. Then we waited to Sophie to arrive in a fabulous horse and carriage.

Following the ceremony, the couple were driven away to meet up with the horse and carriage, which was waiting for them in Ashdown Forest.

Along with the guests i made my way to the wonderful Ashdown Park Hotel to await the couple’s arrival. Drinks were served outside the chapel before i worked my way through a long list of family groups, ably assisted by my good friend and Toast Master, Stephen Hall.

This left me about a quarter of an hour to photograph the couple in the magnificent setting before the receiving line was called in readiness for the Wedding Breakfast.

Speeches followed the meal before a lull, the bouquet toss and of course, the cutting of the wedding cake.

I slipped away after the first dance .

Below are a few of my favourite images from a terrific day.
