The relationship between and Bride and her Father is usually a very special one. It can be very emotional for both as she is walked down the aisle to be married.
I have witnessed many a Dad brought to tears as he sees his little girl for the first time in her wedding dress, or as he is about to walk her down to hand her over to her new husband. Equally many brides find it hard to keep it all together when they are alone with their Dad waiting for the proceedings to get underway.
Most Dads are very close to their daughters and still see them as little girls that they have loved bringing up for years. Its a very proud moment for any father to be asked to walk his daughter down the aisle but can also a potentially traumatic and sad time too. It can be a high pressure or dramatic experience for both.
Anyway I thought i’d share a few of images of brides with their Dads. I always keep an eye out for quiet moments between them during the day. One of my favourite images is the one with the bride and her Dad at the top table, just having a moment while everything goes on around them.
