Wedding Photographer Devon
Devon Wedding Photographer Peter Prior, is based in the stunning village of Kingskerswell in South Devon and is available to cover weddings in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, the South West of England, East Sussex and UK wide.
Saturday saw me shoot my first Devon Wedding since our move. My good friend David Snow asked me to join him at the wedding of Ryan and Divya at Larksbeare House in Exeter. It was going to be an Intimate Wedding or a “Micro Wedding” as they now seem to be known, with just the lovely couple and their two witnesses. David very kindly allowed me to take the role of lead photographer and it was fantastic to finally be back shooing a wedding. The fact that it was a local Devon Wedding was a big bonus!
The witnesses arrived first and the couple soon after. We were then ushered inside for the ceremony. Ryan and Divya Live Streamed the occasion to their family and friends around the world and brought masks depicting close family to use in the group shots. It was a lot of fun and made it seem as if everyone was present despite the restrictions.
We spent about 20 minutes creating memories for the couple around the gorgeous grounds. The River Exe runs below the gardens and made a lovely backdrop to some of the shots.
Following the short photo shoot, we drove the the couple’s house on the edge of Newton Abbot for some informal shots, before leaving them to enjoy dinner, prepared by the lovely Wendy from Dartmoor Dining.
It was a really enjoyable day and a great way to get back into the swing of things after such a long enforced break from photographing weddings. I usually shoot alone but it was interesting and enjoyable having David with me. Its always fascinating to see how another quality professional photographer operates. Its great being a Devon Wedding Photographer!
