Torbay Wedding Photographer at the Ravenswood

I recently, at the fourth attempt, photographed the wedding of Jen and Deen at the Ravenswood . Its a lovely wedding venue set in Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. Although I had shot a number of times at the Ravenswood, this was the first wedding since way back in 2012.
Its always been a favourite location of mine to work, so I drove to Sussex, really looking forward to the day ahead. On arrival I met with the team at the Ravenswood, who were super friendly and very helpful throughout.
Jen and Deen had reduced their numbers drastically so that they could finally be married. I am returning to the Ravenswood in November to photographed their “Wedding Day 2”. They hope to be able to invite everyone they originally wanted.
It was a gorgeous day; something they had certainly earned over the past 14 months of postponements. As expected, Jen and Deen were great to work with, as I set about documenting their special day.
We really enjoyed a relaxed walk around the magnificent grounds before the wedding breakfast. I slipped away after the first dance and a few evening photographs.
I really enjoyed the whole day and can’t wait to return for “Part 2” in November!
Being a Newton Abbott Wedding Photographer, based in beautiful South Devon, it means that I will still be shooting a decent percentage of my weddings “on the road”. This is just as I did when we lived in East Sussex. To be honest, I do love the challenge of travelling and shooting at venues new to me as it keeps my work fresh. Keeping things fresh is very important to me and my photography and in turn this gives my clients even more value.
