Wedding Photography: Bouncing Back from COVID-19

As the beleaguered wedding industry starts to climb out of the uncertainty of the last 16 months due to lock down restrictions, now more than ever, is the time to really push forward for wedding photographers. The next couple of years should see a huge surge in the number of weddings. This in turn provides a great opportunity for wedding photographers of all styles and experience.
This is why I have got together with some of the UK’s industry leading companies to put together a very special workshop. The aim is to give anyone opening up from the restrictions or just just starting out, the tools and strategies to grasp this huge opportunity. We all want to hit the ground running in 2022 and beyond!
Despite 25 years of experience at the top of the profession, like everyone else, we basically had to stop working over the past year or so and this in turn hit us hard financially.
However, rather than sitting back and feeling sorry for ourselves, we used the “down time” to work harder than ever behind the scenes. The aim was to ensure that we were in the best position possible to kick start our business as soon as the doors started to open again.
Just to make things extra interesting we also relocated our business over 200 miles during lock down, so have had to start from almost zero in a new area!

THE WORKSHOP
The workshop will be packed full of information about the ideas and strategies that we have used since early 2020 that has seen us continue to book weddings at a decent level while the business was basically in hibernation.
The lock down gave us plenty of thinking time and saw us change the way we sell and package our Wedding Collections and also the way we connect and meet clients. I will be revealing and sharing the things we have done to ensure we will bounce back strongly and how we have booked a genuine 21 weddings for 2022 so far, in the couple of months that wedding venues have been allowed to offer show rounds to brides and grooms.
During the day, I will also talk about my career, share my images, full weddings and albums. I will also show my current work, including a lot that hasn’t been seen before and share my pricing.
It will be a no holds barred day where I will be honest and open and happy to answer any question as best as I can, to really ensure everyone gets the maximum from the workshop.
The day will also see me demonstrate how I pose and shoot a bride on a wedding day. Weather permitting the shoot will be held both inside and out. I will explain my thought process as I photograph a bride and share the resulting images. I love shooting inside so will be showing you some of the techniques I use to ensure stunningly consistent images every time.
Delegates will also have an opportunity to take their own images with or without my tuition. SO FEEL FREE TO BRING A CAMERA!
The Workshop is perfect for anyone starting out as a Wedding Photographer and the more experienced, looking to kick start their business to get it back to where they were before the pandemic or even improve their previous position within the marketplace.

About Peter
Throughout his 25 year career, Peter’s passion for wedding photography has never diminished. He has covered over 1000 weddings of all sizes throughout the UK, ranging from Sussex to Devon and Cornwall to Scotland. He has also covered a number of weddings overseas.
Peter is known for his passion for sharing his knowledge and experienced gained throughout his career and unlike so many other “trainers and speakers”, still generates most of his income as a working Wedding and Portrait Photographer. His workshops are hype free and full of information and strategies that work in the real world.

Peter is one of only 100 photographers to be awarded the title of Master Craftsman of the Guild of Wedding Photographers.
He is proud to have been the MPA South East Documentary Wedding Photographer of the Year and Classical Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2011. I also achieved the prestigious title of Cosmopolitan Bride Magazine Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2007 and have won over 60 industry awards throughout my career. He hasn’t entered any awards since 2012, preferring to focus his time on his clients and business.
During his career, he was also awarded an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography, and a Licentiate of the Master Photographer’s Association.
His work has been featured in all the major bridal magazines and displayed worldwide, including WPPI Las Vegas, as well as appearing in “Rangefinder” magazine in America and “Professional Photographer” and “Digital Photo Pro” in the UK. Peter has twice been invited to be a Keynote Speaker at the sell out SWPP International Convention in London and is sought out as a mentor and trainer of wedding photographers.

The hotel is a beautiful 4 star hotel overlooking the stunning Torbay. It is perfect for my Workshop and is situated next to Torquay Railway Station for those who prefer not to drive.
INVESTMENT
£275.00 per delegate although i’m offering an Early Bird discounted rate of just £200.00 for places booked and confirmed before August 2021.
The price includes all tuition by Peter Prior, coffee on arrival, a buffet lunch and coffee in the afternoon.
My sponsors, Colorworld Imaging, Aaduki Insurance and Snapperstuff will also be present to answer questions and showcase how they can help your business.
Once the official day has ended, I am always very happy to continue answering questions and offer advice in the bar!

I offer a COVID-19 guarantee, where should the Workshop be postponed due to government COVID restrictions, your place will be transferred the a new date once i’ve rebooked a slot with the venue.

The Grand Hotel is a great place to stay, although Torquay and the surrounding area has so many options to suit all tastes and budgets.
