Torquay Wedding and Portrait Photographer: Lucy and Connor’s Engagement Shoot
Torquay Wedding Photographer Peter Prior, is based in the stunning village of Kingskerswell in South Devon and is available to cover Portraits and Weddings in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, the South West of England, East Sussex and UK wide.
Connor had proposed to Lucy the previous December in Paris. This was a shoot that I had been really looking forward to. Lucy and Connor drove down from Birmingham last week, for their long overdue engagement shoot. The pandemic had meant this being delayed for over a year. Originally it had been booked to take place up in Birmingham last year.
We have known Lucy and her family for a number of years through our mutual love of Boston Terriers. In fact Lucy showed our beautiful Beryl for us for a couple of years as well.
The idea was for some relaxed shots around Torquay Marina and Harbour, showing the beauty of Torbay on a summer’s day. However it was quite overcast and threatening rain. The week before had seen us blessed with a heat wave. Of course, the following day saw beautiful sunshine return!
Living in Torbay, offers me so many opportunities to create fabulous portraits. Quite a few clients are booking a break and coming to me to photograph them and their families. Kingskerswell is so close to everywhere in the area. Dartmoor, Brixham , Salcombe, Teignmouth and even Exeter are all within easy driving distance.
All things being well, I hope to be photographing their wedding in Cyprus in a couple of years time. The weather should be perfect for some stunning images.
Being a Torquay Wedding and Portrait Photographer, based in beautiful South Devon, means that I will still be shooting a decent percentage of my weddings “on the road”. This is just as I did when we lived in East Sussex. To be honest, I do love the challenge of travelling and shooting at venues new to me as it keeps my work fresh. Keeping things fresh is very important to me and my photography and in turn this gives my clients even more value.
